Due to the strong declination of the wall, the solar quadrant rod is facing upwards. In fact, the wall is illuminated by the sun from the beginning of the afternoon, until dusk. As it appears by observing the position of the point of the gnomon shadow, which brushes against the inferior hyperbole of the quadrant, the picture was taken on a day close to the summer solstice (June 21st).
