The gnomon is polar and attached with a spring device in order
for it to be folded at 90° along the edge of the tray. Squares,
coloured pictures and the motto, frame this original gnomonic
instrument, which may be used as a tray.
The tray also has a small compass to determine the correct
north-south orientation of the horizontal median line. |
