The sundial on the Andrea Perini family house was awarded the first prize at the 2006 edition of the Sundials Contest which takes place annually in Aiello. Tiziana, the sister of Andrea, the owner of the house, fondly remembers this place, which was lived in by her grandmother, and her sister Betti, and her sundial.

The seasons follow one after the other, eternally, like the motion of the sun. For this reason the rose-bush painted on the sundial follows the lemniscate of the sun and, along with it, it changes. Dog rose was also grandmother’s Lucia’s favourite… and as seasons pass by, so do people; but only remembering the ones who came before us, can we feel the greater love hidden everywhere.
