This sundial has a lemniscates (a figure-eight line) for the average time. It indicates the anticipation or the delays of the sun during the year in respect to the average time. In a year there are two periods of time (between December 25^th and April 15^th, and between June 16^th and September 1^st), during which the real time has a delay in respect to the average time. There are also periods (between April 16^th and June 12^th, and between September 2^nd and December 24^th) during which the real time anticipates the average time.
