The background around the Earth represents a green lawn with daisies, while around the Sky the background is blue and full of stars; both of them are labelled with an astrological sign.

The two cold colours, blue and green, are balanced by the warmth of the yellow on the circular quadrant of the sundial.  
The Sun, referred to fertility, is positioned at the side of the Earth, while the Moon is placed in relation to the Sky.
